The 60th edition of the Cannes Film Festival will kick off with the world premiere of Wong Kar Wai's My Blueberry Nights tonight. The entire festival will be covered live on european-films.net, so please check back here regularly for updates! A full list of all films in the official selection after the jump; the list will be updated with links to reviews during the festival that ends on May 27.

Cannes 2007: US and France dominate Directors' Fortnight line-up
Quinzaine // Directors' FortnightThe Directors' Fortnight or Quinzaine des réalisateurs unveiled its line-up today, which is dominated by local films as well as three titles from the US. Two titles come from the Lebanon, four from other Asian countries. Films from several other European countries as well as a single South-American production complete the programme. The Directors' Fortnight will kick off with the directorial debut of the Dutch photographer and music video director Anton Corbijn. His Control, a British-Australian co-production tells the story of the late Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis. The selection also includes Après lui, the new film fron Gaël Morel with Catherine Deneuve, as well as six other French films and several more French co-productions. The Fortnight will start on May 17 and run through May 27, alongside the Cannes Film Festival.

Cannes 2007: Critics' Week reveals its titles
SIC 2007The selection of the 2007 Semaine international de la critique or International Critics' Week in Cannes was revealed today, with Spanish-language fare dominating the roster of 17 films presided over by the ambassador of this edition: Mexican actor Gael García Bernal. The star of Almodóvar's La mala educación (Bad Education), Cannes' opening film in 2004, and Alejandro González Iñárritu's Babel, which played in Competition in Cannes last year, will not only head the Critics' Week jury but will also present Déficit, his first film as a director, as a "very special screening" during the Critics' Week. European films in competition include Nos retrouvailles from French director David Oelhoffen and Voleurs de chevaux (Horse Thieves) from Belgium's Micha Wald.The French thriller Héros will open the Critics' Week.
