An overview of interesting European film-related articles published elsewhere on the web. - The New York Times talks with Nobel laureate Harold Pinter about his screenplay for the Kenneth Branagh-directed remake of Sleuth that stars Jude Law and Michael Caine.
- Cineuropa has all the winners of the Golden Calves ceremony at the Dutch Film Festival. The Best Film Golden Calf went to the children's film Kruistocht in Spijkerbroek (Crusade in Jeans) from director Ben Sombogaart, who also directed the Oscar-nominated De tweeling (Twin Sisters).
- The Guardian reports on a new project that could be considered a sequel to Stephen Frears's The Queen; the film will focus on Prime Minister Tony Blair's reaction to the handover of power from Clinton to Bush in the USA. The screenplay will again be written by Peter Morgan, who won a Golden Osella for his work on The Queen at the Venice Film Festival. Blair will again be played by Michael Sheen.
- Speaking of the Queen: the Financial Times talks with Helen Mirren -- who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in Frears's film -- about her new autobiography (via moviecitynews).
- On the occasion of the UK release of Austrian Oscar submission Die Fälscher (The Counterfeiters), the Times talks to the man on whose autobiography the film is based.
- Our colleagues of makingofeuropea.net have added two new entries with behind-the-scenes material and interviews: for the Italian film Sara May, directed by Marianna Sciveres, and for the Spanish film ASD, directed by Tinieblas González.
