Clovis Cornillac in PoltergayWritten by Héctor Cabello Reyes and Eric Lavaine and directed by the latter, the fantasy comedy Poltergay will mark the feature fiction debut of both filmmakers and indeed involves everything that one would expect from a film with such a title. Gallic actor Clovis Cornillac (Les brigades du Tigre/The Tiger Brigades) headlines the intriguing sounding project, playing the ordinary husband to an ordinary wife (Julie "daughter of" Depardieu)  who live in an ordinary Parisian neighbourhood. Of course things will not remain ordinary forever: the young couple's peaceful nights will soon be haunted by gay disco ghosts.

Poltergay is currently in post-production and is being readied for a French release on October 25 by distributor TFM. The film also stars Michel Duchaussoy, Lionel Abelanski, Philippe Duquesne and screenwriter Cabello Reyes. No word yet on which disco evergreens and showtunes will pop up on the soundtrack. You can be sure that reviewers around the world will be sharpening their pencils for the truckloads of puns that will stud their reviews of Poltergay. Until then, for a taste of the film you will have to make do with the first photos of Poltergay in our media gallery.
