Louhimies' 'Valkoinen kaupunki' (Frozen City) leads Jussi nominations |

 The bleak Finnish drama Valkoinen kaupunki (Frozen City) from director Aku Louhimies leads the nominations for the Finnish national film prizes, the Jussi Awards. It bagged a total of eight nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Janne Virtanen, Best Actress for Susanna Anteroinen, Best Director for Louhimies and Best Script for Paavo Westerberg and Mikko Kouki. Acclaimed Finnish auteur Aki Kaurismäki's latest offering, Laitakaupungin Valot (Lights in the Dusk), scored six nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director. The third Best Picture nominee is Kenen joukoissa seisot (Revolution), whose director Jouko Aaltonen was also nominated for a Best Director Jussi. A full list of nominations can be found online here.
