Swedish actor Gustaf Skarsgård, who recently won the Best Actor prize for his role in the suburban musical Förortsungar (Kidz in da Hood) at the Swedish National Film Prizes, the Guldbagge Awards, is currently shooting Patrik 1,5 for director Ella Lemhagen (Tsatsiki, morsan och polisen / Tsatsiki). In the film, an adaptation of a play by Michael Drucker, Skarsgård plays a gay man who signs up for the adoption of a small child with his partner, only to find out that there has been an administrative error and the child is not one-and-a-half but 15 years old and is a homophobe with a criminal past to boot.
Filming on the comedy started on July 30 at the Trollhättan studios in Sweden. Skarsgård, who is this year's Swedish Shooting Star, will be joined by 2003's Shooting Star Torkel Petersson (the impotent boyfriend from Fares's Jalla! Jalla!), who will play his older partner. Their adoptive son from hell will be played by Tom Ljungman. Gustaf Skarsgård is the son of actor Stellan Skarsgård (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest) and can next be seen in Arn - Tempelriddaren (Arn - The Knight Templar), which will be released in Sweden this Christmas. A sequel called Arn - Riket vid vägens slut has already been filmed as well and will be released a year later. In the two films set during the Crusades and based on the novels by Jan Guillou, Gustaf will be joined not only Joakim Nätterqvist (as Arn), Sofia Helin, his father and Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, but also by two of his younger brothers, who will actually play his children. Skarsgård's most famous role to date remains his turn as the haughty leader of the bullies at a boarding school in the Oscar-nominated Ondskan (Evil). (source: Film i Väst) Related items: |
