The 64th Venice Film Festival came to a close with the awards ceremony on Saturday evening. The jury chaired by Chinese director Zhang Yimou awarded the festival's top prize, the Golden Lion, to Se jie (Lust, Caution) from Ang Lee, who already won the Golden Lion just two years ago for Brokeback Mountain. The Best Director's Prize went to Brian De Palma for his Iraqi war drama Redacted, with Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett winning the Best Actor and Best Actress Coppa Volpi respectively. The festival's Jury Prize was awarded to two films: the French familz drama La graine et le mulet (The Secret of the Grain) and the US musical drama I'm Not There. Though local films did not win any prizes, Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci was honoured with a special prize for the 75th anniversary of the festival.
