Page 1 of 14 Guilt and remorse, disease and death, loneliness and unsuspected companionship -- these are some of the themes of the best films of 2007. A young man with Aids and a foreign girl shot in the streets of Istanbul will never grow old with their lovers, while two youngsters from very different classes do -- in a way. A girl from Iran finds growing up hard to do as both her country and her body go through turbulent times, while three French girls of the same age are just focussing on their bodies -- and each other. These are the best films of 2007 (and two of the first great films of 2008) according to european-films.net editor Boyd van Hoeij.
